Vintage Rose Lithographs. These Redoute Rose Lithographs are from a rare folio published by The Ariel Press in the mid 1950s. They were printed in Germany by K. G. Lohse, Frankfurt am Main. All of the acknowledgments (botanical name, P.J. Redoute, and the engraver) are written in script at the bottom. They are on heavy matte cream-colored paper. The fine wove paper has a linen texture with an embossed edge which looks like a plate mark. These vintage lithographs are matted and preserved in a plastic sleeve, and measure 16” x 20”
